Said settled in Boston as a refugee from Africa almost 30 years ago. He lived in Boston public housing and sold newspapers to support himself and his family through high school. Said has since worked in technology and sales, before founding his venture capital firm, Faido Capital. Faido Capital’s mission is to increase equal opportunity in business by investing in business ventures primarily by African and woman entrepreneurs. Said also volunteers as a STEM and career advisor with African Community Development of New England.
