Ed attended Salve Regina before serving 25 years in the U.S. Navy, with two active deployments. After the Navy, he served in the Department of Labor under President Clinton and worked on legislation to increase the federal minimum wage and ease access to healthcare. As a Probation Officer for the Suffolk Supreme Court, Ed coordinates reentry plans for those recently released from jail or prison. This includes advocating for counseling, substance use recovery and treatment, and job training and placement. He has been on Boston City Council since 2018.
